MBIO will be organising a day seminar and its AGM for 2009 on the 18th of August 2009. The event is co-organised by BiotechCorp and will feature issues on Bionexus status for MBIO members. The event will include talks by BiotechCorp on the application process for Bionexus status, funding sources and legal issues in biotechnology.

MBIO is proudly supporting the 7th International Traditional / Complementary Medicine Conference (INTRACOM) and 2nd International Conference on Biotechnology for the Wellness Industry (ICWBI)a> alongside Forest Research Institute, Malaysia (FRIM), BiotechCorp, Malaysian Tourism Board and seven other local major associations in traditional & complementary medicines field on the 23rd to 26th of July 2009. Both events will feature prominent speakers as well as bringing world's renowned speakers and delegates worldwide to participate and share their knowledge at this conference.
