Message from the Chairman

Dear MBIO members,

The year of 2009 is an exciting new start for MBIO as a group. Being the voice of the industry, we have dedicated ourselves into sounding out to government policies and actions so as it can closely match the needs of the industry.

We have had a busy year last year with many activities including BioMalaysia 2008, Global Entrepeunership week as well as various seminars and sessions organised for our members. We hope that this year would be as vibrant, if not more than the last, as we strive to ensure the competitive edge of our industry.

This inaugral issue of MBIO's newsletter will become another of our service to our membership as we update members on the news and latest happenings that are abound in the industry. In each issue, we shall also feature a commentary by a distinguished member of the industry voicing out on various interesting aspects of biotechnology and entrepeunership.
